Fort Smith, Ark. – Fort Smith police and firefighters responded to a structure fire Friday at a commercial property on Rogers Avenue as crews worked to secure the scene and investigate the cause.
According to the Fort Smith Police Department, emergency personnel were dispatched to a structure fire at 5300 Rogers Avenue on July 24.
Authorities said both the Fort Smith Police Department and Fort Smith Fire Department remained on scene while crews worked to manage the incident.
Officials have not yet determined what caused the fire, and no additional details about injuries or the extent of the damage were immediately released.
Police asked motorists and residents to avoid the area until emergency crews clear the scene.
