Fort Smith, Ark. – The Fort Smith Police Department has arrested a 43-year-old man in connection with a robbery that occurred on Highway 271 South earlier this week.
According to the department, Anthony Mims was taken into custody as part of the investigation into the robbery reported on the morning of July 24 at 7914 Highway 271 South.
Police said Mims was interviewed by detectives following his arrest before being transported to the Sebastian County Adult Detention Center.
He was subsequently booked on one count of robbery.
The Fort Smith Police Department announced the arrest as an update to the ongoing investigation. Authorities have not released additional details about the circumstances of the robbery or whether any further arrests are expected. The investigation remains ongoing.
