Fort Smith, Ark. – Nearly 150 community members gathered at the Fort Smith Public Library as the Fort Smith Police Department hosted its latest Wonderful Wednesday event, giving families the opportunity to meet officers, ask questions, and learn more about community policing.
The event, held on July 23, featured Officer Williams, Officer Shoptaw, and Pawfficer Fuzz, who spent the afternoon interacting with residents of all ages. Families had the chance to speak with officers in an informal setting, helping strengthen relationships between law enforcement and the community.
According to the Fort Smith Police Department, the event attracted approximately 150 attendees, making it another successful community outreach effort. Officers answered questions from visitors while sharing information about the department’s role and the importance of community policing in Fort Smith.
