Fort Smith, Ark. – Fort Smith Police Department announced its support for a community fundraising event benefiting Officer Kyle Newman and his family following the officer’s recent line-of-duty injury.
The fundraiser is scheduled to take place this weekend at Randall Ford and will feature a dunk tank event involving Fort Smith police officers.
According to the department, all proceeds raised through the fundraiser will go directly toward supporting Newman’s family during his recovery.
Department officials expressed appreciation for the community support shown for the injured officer and thanked Randall Ford and event organizers for helping coordinate the effort.
