Fort Smith Police connect with community through Food Patrol visit to local neighborhood

Fort Smith, Ark. – The Fort Smith Police Department continued its community outreach efforts with a recent Food Patrol visit to residents in the Allied Gardens area.

Officers spent time connecting with community members, sharing conversations and delivering meal sacks as part of the initiative.

The program aims to strengthen relationships between law enforcement and residents while providing support through small acts of service.

The meals distributed during the visit were made possible through a partnership with Westark Church of Christ, which provided the food for the event.

Department officials emphasized the importance of community engagement, noting that opportunities like these help build trust and foster positive interactions between officers and the neighborhoods they serve.
