City of Fort Smith highlights volunteer turnout for United Way Day of Caring

Fort Smith, Ark. – The City of Fort Smith, Arkansas reported a strong turnout of volunteers who took part in the United Way of Fort Smith’s 33rd Annual Day of Caring, describing the day as a success for the community.

According to the city, more than 800 volunteers representing multiple organizations participated in projects across 40 agencies throughout a six-county service area.

The effort was organized through the United Way of Fort Smith.

One of the projects highlighted included volunteers adding mulch to flower beds along Garrison Avenue, reflecting the wide range of work completed during the event.

City officials noted the large-scale participation demonstrated ongoing community support and collaboration, as volunteers worked across the region to assist local agencies and improve public spaces.
