Fort Smith, Ark. – The City of Fort Smith reported that the opening night of the Creekmore Holiday Express drew residents and visitors even as cold and rainy conditions settled over the area.
The city noted that hot chocolate and popcorn handed out by the Board of Directors helped keep attendees warm as they enjoyed the annual holiday tradition.
City officials extended their appreciation to the Parks and Recreation crews, recognizing their work in preparing and operating the event each year.
Holiday Express hours run Monday through Saturday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., and the train does not operate on Sundays.
