Fort Smith, Ark. – The Fort Smith Police Department announced the promotion of three officers to the rank of lieutenant during a ceremony held earlier in the day at department headquarters.
The department recognized Lieutenant Keith Shelby of the Criminal Investigations Division, Lieutenant Joseph Underwood of Patrol–Field Operations, and Lieutenant Alejandro Marín of Patrol–Special Operations.
According to the department, each officer was honored for their continued dedication and willingness to serve the community.
The agency also expressed gratitude to the families of the newly promoted lieutenants, noting their support and the sacrifices made as their loved ones take on new responsibilities.
