Fort Smith, Ark. – After 26 years of dedicated service, Lt. McCoy of the Fort Smith Police Department retired this week, marking the end of a long and distinguished career.
Throughout his time with the department, Lt. McCoy served in multiple roles, including Patrol Officer, Detective, Supervisor, and Mentor.
His commitment to the community and his leadership within the department left a lasting impact on both his colleagues and the citizens he served.
The department described his retirement as “bittersweet,” expressing gratitude for his many years of service while wishing him and his family the best in the next chapter of life.
