Governor Sanders signs Executive Order authorizing $30,000 for recovery efforts following March 14 storms and tornadoes

Arkansas – Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders signed Executive Order 25-16 to authorize $30,000 from the Governor’s Disaster Response and Recovery Fund to support recovery efforts related to the severe storms and tornadoes that struck Arkansas on or about March 14, 2025.

According to the order, the storms caused significant hardship and damage across parts of the state, prompting the need for executive action.

The funding will be used to assist affected political subdivisions and help alleviate losses to citizens and public property.

The order amends EO 25-05, issued on March 15, 2025, and allows the Director of the Arkansas Division of Emergency Management to use the funds at their discretion to cover both program and administrative costs associated with recovery.

Governor Sanders signed the order on October 6, 2025, affirming the state’s continued commitment to supporting communities impacted by the severe weather.
