Fort Smith celebrates Independence Day with music, fireworks, and community spirit

Fort Smith, Ark. – The City of Fort Smith came together in dazzling fashion for the Mayor’s 4th of July Celebration, a festive evening filled with fireworks, live music, and family fun. Hosted downtown, the event drew residents of all ages for a night that highlighted the city’s strong community spirit.

Presented by Main Street Fort Smith and RiverBoy Music Group, the celebration featured a packed lineup of musical performances, including appearances by Shaylen, DJ Swilsonn, River Valley Community Band, beem!, and Trevor Phelps. Families enjoyed kid-friendly attractions courtesy of Bullfrog Bouncers LLC, while Brew House Catering kept volunteers and staff fueled behind the scenes.

KISR radio helped keep the energy high throughout the night, serving as an in-kind sponsor and providing a lively soundtrack to accompany the festivities. A spectacular fireworks display capped off the evening, earning cheers from the crowd.

City officials extended heartfelt thanks to event coordinators, city staff, volunteers, and first responders who worked tirelessly to ensure the event was safe and seamless.
