Fort Smith, Ark. – Fort Smith residents looking to declutter or responsibly dispose of unwanted items have a convenient option at the city’s Convenience Pad located at the landfill.
This one-stop drop-off center accepts household trash, electronics (e-waste), recyclables, hazardous waste, glass, and large appliances. Residents can also visit the Reuse Center onsite, where they can pick up usable items such as paint, stain, and herbicides—for free.
A flat rate of $23.42 applies for trash and appliance drop-offs, while all other items can be dropped off at no cost. Fort Smith residents can take advantage of a half-price drop-off every first Saturday of the month.
To reach the Convenience Pad, residents should proceed through the Scale House at the landfill, then turn right and follow the signs to the end of the road. An attendant is available onsite to assist.
To use the Reuse Center, residents simply need to provide their address and verify the name on their account.
The Convenience Pad is designed to help Fort Smith residents clean up their homes, protect the environment, and potentially score some free supplies—all in a single visit.
