Fort Smith, Ark. – Fort Smith Police responded to a vehicle accident late Sunday morning that caused traffic delays and damaged utility infrastructure near Kimmons Middle School.
The crash occurred on Wilson Road, directly in front of the school, shortly before noon on Sunday.
Officers arrived at the scene around 11:59 a.m. and found that the accident was disrupting traffic and had caused damage to nearby utility structures.
Authorities have not yet released details about the vehicles involved or whether any injuries occurred. Police urged drivers to avoid the area and take alternate routes while crews worked to clear the scene and address the damage.
As of Monday, it remains unclear whether the roadway has been fully reopened.
