Arkansas – Arkansas State Trooper Christian Ramirez is recovering in stable condition after being seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash on Sunday evening, April 20, 2025. The incident occurred around 5:20 p.m. on Arkansas Highway 7 during a period of heavy rainfall.
According to the Arkansas State Police, Trooper Ramirez, who is assigned to Troop K, was responding to a three-vehicle collision with his emergency lights and sirens activated when the crash happened.
Details regarding the cause of the crash have not been released, but officials confirmed that weather conditions were a contributing factor.
Emergency responders transported Ramirez to a local hospital where he underwent surgery Sunday night. As of Monday morning, he is reported to be in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
Arkansas State Police Colonel Mike Hagar issued a statement asking for support for the injured trooper: “Please keep Trooper Ramirez and his family in your prayers as he begins the recovery process.”
The crash remains under investigation, and no other vehicles were involved in the incident.
