Pine Bluff police investigating fatal multi-vehicle collision

Pine Bluff, Ark. – The Pine Bluff Police Department is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Feb. 5, 2025, at approximately 2:44 p.m. Officers responded to reports of a multi-vehicle collision near West 33rd Avenue and South Olive Street.

Upon arrival, officers found a grey Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck with front-end damage, a red passenger car with severe driver-side damage, and a white passenger car that was also struck in the crash.

The driver of the red vehicle, identified as 62-year-old Larry Strong, had to be extricated by the Pine Bluff Fire Department.

He was pronounced deceased at the scene by Jefferson County Coroner Chad Kelley at 3:18 p.m.

A passenger in the red vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by EASI Ambulance Inc. to Jefferson Regional Medical Center (JRMC) for treatment.

The drivers of the grey pickup truck and the white passenger car did not suffer life-threatening injuries and were not transported to JRMC.
