Little Rock Police Seek Public’s Help in Locating Two Suspects Wanted for Capital Murder

Little Rock, ARK — The North Little Rock Police Department is actively seeking the public’s assistance in locating two individuals wanted in connection with a Capital Murder and Aggravated Robbery that occurred last month. Authorities are searching for 18-year-old Jarquez Butler and 21-year-old Devontaye Hayes, both of whom have active warrants related to the death of 21-year-old Giovanni Castillo.

On November 12, officers responded to a shooting at 4800 MacArthur Drive in North Little Rock. There, they found Castillo, who had suffered at least one gunshot wound. Castillo, a resident of Fort Worth, Texas, was transported to a nearby hospital but was later pronounced dead.

In the aftermath of the shooting, police launched an investigation that led to the arrest of 23-year-old Briontaye Walls on December 18. Walls was charged with Capital Murder and Aggravated Robbery in connection to the fatal shooting of Castillo. However, authorities are now focused on Butler and Hayes, who are believed to be involved in the crime.

Police are urging anyone with information about the whereabouts of Butler and Hayes to come forward. Tips can be submitted anonymously to the North Little Rock Police Department’s tip line at 501-680-8439.
