Police Search for Suspect in Sunday Shooting Incident

Little Rock, ARK – Authorities in Pine Bluff are actively seeking the public’s help in locating a man wanted for his involvement in a shooting on Sunday. The Pine Bluff Police Department issued a press release on Monday, identifying 42-year-old Jeffery Ventress as the suspect in the incident. Ventress is facing charges of terroristic act and possession of firearms by a certain person.

According to police, the shooting occurred in the 600 block of North Hutchinson, where officers responded to reports of gunfire. When they arrived at the scene, they spoke with a woman who was being transported to a nearby hospital due to a panic attack. A witness, who had been driving the woman to purchase a new tire, told authorities that their vehicle had been blocked in the parking lot of HR Food Mart by a 2008 Ford F150 truck. The woman allegedly identified the truck as belonging to Ventress and advised the driver to leave the area immediately.

As the driver attempted to maneuver around the truck, Ventress reportedly exited his vehicle and pointed a handgun at them. He then fired several rounds at the witness’s vehicle, striking it multiple times. No injuries were reported from the shooting.

Ventress is described as a bald male, standing approximately 5’11” and weighing around 160 pounds. Authorities have urged anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact the Pine Bluff Police Department.
