Multi-Vehicle Crash Involving School Bus Causes Traffic Delays on I-630 in Little Rock

Little Rock, ARK  — A multi-vehicle crash involving a school bus led to significant traffic backups on eastbound Interstate 630 in Little Rock on Saturday evening. The collision, which occurred near exit 4, was first reported at 5:22 p.m. and resulted in all lanes being blocked.

According to the Arkansas Department of Transportation’s IDriveArkansas cameras, emergency crews from ARDOT, the Arkansas State Police, and the Little Rock Fire Department were quickly dispatched to the scene. Traffic in the area was disrupted for nearly an hour, with the crash site cleared by 6:50 p.m.

The Little Rock Fire Department confirmed that five people were injured in the crash and were transported to local hospitals. Fortunately, none of the injured individuals were students, and none of the injuries were considered to be life-threatening.

While officials did not specify which school the bus was from, they did report that all students aboard the bus were safely transferred to another vehicle. No further details on the cause of the crash have been released, and the investigation is ongoing.

Authorities urged drivers to remain cautious in the area while crews worked to clear the scene and restore normal traffic flow.
