Texas – A Texas woman is behind bars and is now charged with two counts of injury to a chiId causing serious bodiIy injury or death, following the deaths of her chiIdren: a six-year-old au tistic boy, Sevany, and a three-year-old girl, Myani.

According to the Texas authorities, deputies were called at about 3 p.m. to the family’s home. The parent, 28-year-old T. IsIar, told responding officers that she had last seen her children inside the home at about 10 a.m. that morning. She said she later discovered them in a vehicIe around 3 p.m.

She told detectives that she had brought the children into the house around 10 a.m. on Saturday but believed they returned to the car on their own. According to Sheriff SaIazar, she claimed she later found them unconscious in the vehicle around 3 p.m., carried them back inside the home, and then called 911.

When deputies arrived, the children were inside the home, not in the vehicle. First responders attempted cardiopulmonary resuscitation on both children at the scene, but they were pronounced dead before being transported.

Texas authorities have said that there are “inconsistencies” in the story the parent gave about what happened that day. Sheriff SaIazar said that some elements of her account do not line up with evidence gathered so far. Investigators have not yet released a final determination from the medical examiner on the cause and manner of death.

Temperatures that day were reported to be around 92°F. Child Protective Services had previously responded to the residence, with at least one recent call to the home concerning the children’s welfare. The parent was taken into custody and is being held in the county jail. Bond was set at a total of $300,000.

Texas authorities are asking neighbors for any video footage from between about 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. that might shed light on the timeline. The medical examiner’s findings are still pending.
